Fractals are mathematical equations that exist in between the 2nd and 3rd dimensions. They are infinitely repeating and can be identified by their “self-similar iterating patterns,” which means that no matter how closely you “zoom” into a fractal you will find patterns/shapes that are comprised of many smaller versions of themselves. It’s really a trippy concept, and humans have only been able to begin exploring the fractal dimension with the use of powerful computers – we are some of the only humans in history to interact with fractal mathematics!
